How it works

One link out, one book back,

Everything below takes you about ten minutes of your own time. Everyone else gets five minutes of it, once. Allow a week or two for people to write, and about a week after that for printing and post,

  1. You start the book

    Who it is for, what the occasion is, and roughly when you need it. That is the whole form. You get two links back: one to send out, and one that is yours,

    A minute. No account, no card yet,

  2. Everyone else adds a page

    They open the link on their phone, put in their name, choose a photograph, write a few lines, and see exactly how their page will be printed before it goes in,

    Five minutes each. Nothing to install, no account, and they never see anyone else’s page,

  3. You watch it fill

    Your own page shows one comma for every page in the book so far, and the number beside it. Chase the stragglers, read what has come in, take out anything that should not be there,

  4. You close it and pay

    £19.99 for 20 pages, plus delivery. You see the whole book first, cover included, exactly as it will be printed,

  5. We print it and post it

    Printed and bound here, wrapped in tissue, in a box with nothing else in it. About 7 days, or 5 if you are close to the date,

The things people actually ask,

What if I cannot find twenty people?

Most books have six to twelve. 20 pages is simply the smallest a printer will bind, so the price is the same either way and the pages nobody wrote on are cream leaves — room for the hand-written ones on the day,

Can someone add more than one page?

Yes, if you allow it. You set how many each person may add when you start the book, and a book holds up to 60 pages,

Can I do it at the party rather than by link?

Yes. Print the table cards from your own page — each one carries a code guests scan, so they write a page between courses. The book stays open until you close it,

Do the others see the book?

Only their own page. The book is yours until you give it,
